Supporting the Future of Inquiry
In the fall of 2024, the University received a transformative $100 million gift from an anonymous donor to strengthen UChicago’s leadership in the principles and practice of free expression. This gift expands the University’s ability to support open inquiry, foster dialogue across difference, and advance the mission of the Chicago Forum for years to come.
The University of Chicago is also deeply grateful to Kenneth C. Griffin, the Zell Family Foundation, and the Yagan Family Foundation, whose early support helped establish the Chicago Forum. Their generosity laid the foundation for the Chicago Forum's programs, partnerships, and long-term vision.
