Academic Conferences

The Chicago Forum actively supports University of Chicago faculty, academic appointees, and graduate students in organizing academic conferences and convenings that advance discussion on free inquiry and expression.

Over the years, we have contributed to a variety of symposiums and conferences, including “Freedoms of Speech: Anthropological Perspectives” (organized in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Communication and Society) and “Grappling with Genocide” (through funding support), among others. We welcome ideas for academic conferences that resonate with our mission.

Interested individuals are encouraged to submit their proposals to thechicagoforum@uchicago.edu. Proposals are reviewed and selected on a rolling basis.
