“[Affirmative action’s] discriminatory admissions practices undermine the integrity of our civil rights laws.” That is what the Founder and President of Students for Fair Admissions, Edward Blum, said during a press conference after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned affirmative action this past summer. Join the Chicago Forum and evaluate for yourself whether that’s a valid claim.
Hear from Adam Mortara, lead counsel for Students for Fair Admissions, alongside professors Farah Peterson and David Strauss of the UChicago Law School for a rigorous exchange of views regarding the case and its implications. Then connect with other students in breakout sessions after the panel to challenge the case for yourself.
Dinner to be provided during the breakout session.
We kindly ask that you not record the event.
